Opening night: Sister Mary Ignatius explains it all for you

One of the best (and most polemic) comedies written by Christopher Durang is in Lima directed by Leonardo Torres Vilar.


"Leo is one of the most important figures in my career as an actress. With him, I learned who Meisner Uta Hagen, Stella, Adler, Stanislavski... who they all were... Thanks to him, I decided to go study in LA to learn so much more".


Not only was Su Hananel playing Philomena, she was also head of production in this play, starring well-known Peruvian actress Gabriela Velásquez and sharing stage with fellow actor Gretha Bazán, Rodrigo Chávez and Irvin Meza.


"Sister Mary Ignatius explains it all for you" questions irrational faith, the kind that blinds you and leads to violence. The curtain falls for the last time on August 6th at Teatro Racional (Lima).
